The Marketplace web service availability on August 30
Incident Report for Marketplace® Simulations
Resolved
Starting at 6 am on August 30th, CenturyLink (Level 3) has been having a major networking event that is impacting the Marketplace web services. The Marketplace web hosting provider rerouted the traffic to avoid CenturyLink (Level 3) as much as possible. But, there were cases where the customer traffic was passing via CenturyLink (Level 3) on the way to Marketplace servers anyway.

Marketplace web service monitoring (ThousandEyes and Pingdom) is showing these accessibility issues located mostly in Asia, Pacific, Latin America, and South America regions. North America and Europe are influenced minimally by the CenturyLink (Level 3) issue.

Marketplace web service monitoring shows that the most problems occurred between 6 am and 7:45 am EDT.

We are monitoring the situation and are in contact with the web hosting provider.
